The blade mass is the point. Thin cuticle scissors flex the moment they meet a nail plate, and a
flexing blade crushes the free edge instead of parting it. These do not flex.
Work across the nail in two or three cuts rather than one. A single cut through the full width is what
starts a split running back down the layers.

Care
Stainless steel, autoclavable. Dry it fully before it goes back in the pouch: moisture left in a joint is what causes staining, not the sterilisation itself.
