A finishing bit in solid tungsten carbide, with fine spiral cuts set at an angle chosen for podiatry composite.
Cut density is what separates a finishing bit from a reduction bit. These cuts are close enough together that the bit takes material evenly instead of digging in, so you can work a surface flat rather than chasing the hollows you have just made.
Solid carbide throughout, not a coated steel body, which is why it holds its edge in composite.
Finished with a DLC (diamond-like carbon) coating. It is extremely hard and it resists wear and corrosion, which is what you want on a bit that spends its life at high RPM: the coating is the part that decides how many treatments you get before the cut goes dull.
Technical data

- Cut: fine spiral, angled
- Coating: DLC (diamond-like carbon)

Care
Clean and disinfect between clients like any other reusable instrument. Let it dry fully before it goes back in the block: a bit put away damp is how a shank starts to corrode where you cannot see it.
