Curved and straight blades are not interchangeable: a curved edge follows the arc of the free edge in one pass, where a straight blade would need several small cuts and leave flats between them.

Care
Stainless steel, autoclavable. Dry it fully before it goes back in the pouch: moisture left in the joint is what causes staining and stiffness, not the sterilisation itself.
