Podoland 4-in-1 Podiatry Bit

A single bit that covers four jobs: working reconstruction material, shortening the plate, reducing thickened or damaged plate, and taking off old enhancement.

The point of a 4-in-1 is that you stop swapping bits mid-treatment. The head carries a diamond coating at the front for shortening, and fine cross-cuts along the body that behave much like a ceramic bit on material.

Hardened martensitic stainless steel, tempered again during manufacture, which is where the wear resistance comes from.

Finished with a DLC (diamond-like carbon) coating. It is extremely hard and it resists wear and corrosion, which is what you want on a bit that spends its life at high RPM: the coating is the part that decides how many treatments you get before the cut goes dull.

Care

Clean and disinfect between clients like any other reusable instrument. Let it dry fully before it goes back in the block: a bit put away damp is how a shank starts to corrode where you cannot see it.
