Nail scissors with heavier 25 mm curved blades, for cutting nail plate rather than skin.
The extra blade mass is the point: thin cuticle scissors flex when they meet a nail plate, and a flexing blade crushes the free edge instead of cutting it. These do not flex.
Work across the nail in two or three cuts rather than one. A single cut through the full width is what starts a split running back down the layers.

Care
Stainless steel, so it takes autoclaving and chemical disinfection between clients. Dry it properly before it goes back in the pouch: moisture left in a hinge is what causes staining and eventually stiffness, not the sterilisation itself.
