Four fans instead of one is what separates the J-02 from the rest of the range. Spread across the intake, they pull evenly along the whole working width rather than creating one strong point in the middle and dead corners either side.
It recesses into the worktop, so the intake sits level with the surface and catches filings as they fall, before they drift into the room or settle on the station.
Two filter options
The standard cassette uses high-grade filter paper for general filing. There is also an activated carbon cassette available separately, which is the one to fit if odour from monomer or primer is the problem rather than dust alone. Paper stops particles; carbon adsorbs vapour. They are different jobs.
