The Diamond is the presentation piece of the hand rest range. Diamond-quilted velour over a raised frame, made to look right in a salon where the station is part of what the client is paying for.
It does the working job as well as any of them. The client's hand sits at height, so the technician stays upright rather than bending to follow it down through a full set, which is where back and neck pain starts.
